Using Weight Loss Pills a Right Step

Different varieties of weight loss pills are available in the market, some may be safer than others, some natural herbal supplements, and some weight loss pills only available by prescription from specialists.

That is where a lot of people with weight loss turn for aid. But they usually find is that there are no supernatural phenomenon, no miracles that will cure your struggle with weight. A lot of people consume weight loss pills due to the obsessive quest for thinness.

Some weight loss pills are caffeine based and others use ingredients and homeopathic elixirs, while others over-the-counter stimulants. Without any doctor’s authorization, weight loss pills should never be used as a substitute for cutting calories and increasing exercise. One of the most unhealthy and potentially dangerous ways to lose weight is over the counter and caffeine related weight loss pills. One has to think twice about using an appetite suppressant to quickly shed a few pounds off your widen waist or fatty thighs. A recent research study has found that a key ingredient in over-the-counter diet pills can increase the risk of stroke in women.

Normally, there are two types of weight loss pills, which are flogged over to the consumer. They are pills, which are of no use as they are made of just sugar or chalk. Another type of weight loss pills are the Ephedra type of weight loss pill which are based on the drug Ephedrine, similar to amphetamine.

In some countries, it is not illegal to possess a small amount of this drug for personal use but in others one could even be prosecuted for selling it. Therefore one must be watchful as these drugs carry the risk of many serious side effects including heart palpitations, kidney failures, strokes, vomiting, insomnia, miscarriages and heart attack. When going for natural weight loss pills, be cautious about the so-called natural ingredients used in them. Just because something is derived from a natural source doesn’t mean its safe. Botanical source of Ephedrine can produce many side effects.

Losing weight by the use of weight loss pills can be very quickly, but they should only be used when they are prescribed by the doctor. Alternatives like the combination of healthy eating and exercise should be offered to an overweight person but not obsession in pursuit of weight loss.

A local pharmacist can help to resolve whether weight loss pills are safe to use or not. Avoid all kinds of weight loss pills if one has a high blood pressure, a mental illness, thyroid or prostrate problems or an irregular heart rate. Its usage should also be avoided during the pregnancy as Caffeine increases the risk of a miscarriage.

Some of the dangerous and addictive substances found in weight loss pills are Ephedrine, Caffeine, and Phenylpropranolamine. All of these substances can have serious and potentially fatal side effect.

  4. If your going to use weight loss pills just be sure that they are all natural and doctor recommended. Diet pills that contain ephedrine should be automatically redflagged.

    Remember, the most important part of weight loss is proper diet and nutrition and supplements should only be incorporated if they are in check. Also, note that some weight loss supplements can be extremely harmful to you body, such as the liver and kidneys. Alway check with a doctor or pharmacist before the use of a weight loss supplement.

  6. Though pills are a way to reduce weight…Try to reduce weight naturally by doing physical exercise. This is my sincere advice.

  7. One must remember that any supplementation is a tool. Used alone, it will do nothing, but combined with a proper diet and regular exercise, it works miracles.

    Unfortunately too many people just want to pop a pill and hope to lose weight without any effort.
